Alexandria, VA – May 13, 2025 – The Center for Innovation & Value Research released the following statement:
The Center for Innovation & Value Research shares the goal of ensuring patients have affordable access to needed therapies. Controlling healthcare costs is essential to maintaining that access. However, the Most Favored Nation (MFN) pricing model is a blunt instrument that imports foreign price controls without fully understanding the impact on patients and their lives.
Instead of referencing prices set by other countries, we must invest in transparent, patient-centered value research that reflects people’s health needs, support equitable access, and sustain innovation that delivers meaningful outcomes.
The Center remains dedicated to providing rigorous, unbiased evidence to guide policymakers toward solutions that balance affordability with long-term value and innovation that matters to patients.
