2022 Annual Report

The 2022 Annual Report highlights a year of growth, expanded research, and deepened patient-centered and equity-focused work at the Innovation and Value Initiative (IVI). IVI invested 86% of total revenue in programs, added 27 new members, and spent $1.6 million on research, while convening nearly 200 stakeholders at its 3rd Annual Methods Summit. Key accomplishments include the launch of three major initiatives—the Health Equity Initiative, the Economic Impacts Project, and the Valuing Innovation Project—all aimed at advancing more inclusive, transparent, and patient-centered health technology assessment (HTA). The report also documents progress on the Major Depressive Disorder (MDD) Open-Source Value Model, expanded use of multi-criteria decision analysis, strengthened patient and stakeholder governance, and increased thought leadership and communication. Overall, the report underscores IVI’s commitment to embedding equity, patient experience, and real-world relevance into HTA research and practice.
