2021 Annual Report

The 2021 Annual Report documents how the Innovation and Value Initiative (IVI) deepened its commitment to putting patients at the center of value assessment, while advancing transparency, equity, and methodological innovation during the second year of the COVID-19 pandemic. IVI directed 82% of its revenue research, expanded its membership significantly, and covened over 170 stakeholders at the 2021 Methods Summit to build consensus on incorporating patient-centered outcomes into value assessment and decision-making. Key accomplishments include progress on the Major Depressive Disorder (MDD) Open-Source Value Model, expended use of multi-criteria decision analysis, new research on scientific spillover, and pilot methods to systematically capture patient goals and preferences. The repoort also highlights the launch of equity-focused webinars, strengthened governance through patient and scientific advisory bodies, and broad dissemination of IVI’s Principles for Value Assessment, reinforcing IVI’s mission to advance patient-centered, equitable, and transparent healthcare value assessment.
